Prior to making consulting her full-time work, in 1999, Stephanie also had a 17-year career in higher education. As a faculty member at the University of Vermont, she taught courses in communications and environmental studies, and served on the University President’s Commission on Women. Subsequently, she served as Academic Dean at Woodbury College for seven years, where she taught courses and workshops in psychology, teambuilding and organizational development, and developed the college’s program in Prevention and Community Development. Stephanie has an M.A. in psychology, with additional background in environmental studies, communications and organizational development.

Stephanie has written a variety of articles, essays, papers, and book reviews over the past twenty years on intersections of social and environmental issues, and has been most recently focused on sustainable economic development. She is particularly interested in how principles of natural systems can be applied in very practical terms to help communities and organizations thrive.

Stephanie is a member of the New England Chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility.

We work with project partners in Vermont and nationally to deliver specific technical expertise, and services for larger projects.
